elle fanning

see: somewhere. and elle fanning photographed by steven pan for interview magazine.

finally went to see the movie at beautiful sydney open air cinema last night and i really enjoyed it. it's sofia coppola's typical movies with the stillness, photographical, non-dialog scenes which i think bring out the emotional moments more. and there are just a few scenes of randomness that just made me laugh. have you seen it yet? oh, and elle fanning is just so so pretty.

  2. Elle Fanning was great! As was Stephen Dorff. I expected Somewhere to be quite reflective and depictive of ennui, as Sofia does this so well, so I wasn't disappointed but it's not my favourite from her :) I love that she shows us typical real-life moments that don't normally make it into the film

  5. I haven't seen it yet, but sounds good!
I like how you mention "non-dialog scenes". I was just thinking the other day that my favourite types of movies are "quiet" ones, where the lack of talking actually makes you observe and feel the emotion of the movie a lot better..
