hear: days of may by naomi & goro.

so glad i stumbled across this japanese band, their music is so calm and soothing. huse naomi with her beautiful clear voice and goro ito the bossa nova guitarist. love love! also check out their version of garota de ipanema (the girl from ipanema).

happy australia day for you all down under! i love public holiday in the middle of the week!! and i have specially pick some sydney photos from diana mini flickr group for today! sydney has been my home for the past 5 years and i'm loving the weather, the food, the beaches, the art and culture scene.

see: the make believe sea, gorgeous photoblog by misma andrews from wellington, new zealand.

sometimes photography could be as simple as about being close to the nature. i think misma reflects this concept on her photographs really really well. and of course other concepts too. everything is just so beautifully captured, i could spend hours browsing at her old posts.

see: black swan, if you haven't already.

it's quite full on but such a beautiful movie at the same time. natalie portman, congratulations for the golden globe, you are truly talented! here are a few beautiful shots from vogue (US). and don't forget to take a peak at the behind the scene video too. have a lovely weekend everyone!

i saw this a while back on one of the blogs i subscribe to, and have recently stumbled across her works again. and i just thought i have to repost about her pure art, it's just epic.

i feel like i haven't been around much and work has been a bit hectic. looking forward for the weekend. how have you all been?

see: photos by marija strajnic based in belgrade (serbia). today's picks are black and white photos from her collection. can i just tell you how glad i am it's a weekend? it has been such a long and full on week with the devastating events happening to our friends in queensland, australia. next week would be better, i hope.
...to those affected in the queensland floods. please donate if you feel you can help out.

see: spoonful, created by anthea the designer and editor based in sydney. she explains spoonful is a short and inspiring little publication which, in light of our insanely busy lives and increasing 'oh no, i must find time to read x' can be finished by the end of a train ride. it's quick to consume, beautifully soft, and after reading will genuinely make you smile. isn't this a little something that we need on our busy life! their latest issue 03 is out now for you to enjoy in your train ride or coffee break.

i love photography, even though i always feel i'm not good enough. i think it has been a while since the last time i took some photos, so i decided to force myself to sit down and just do it, before i ate all those hearty lollies. here are a few shots for much love monday project. i think i enjoy detailed objects photography most, compared to portraits and landscapes photography. what about you?

see: doodles by kate bingaman burt, based in portland, oregon, USA. she's documenting her daily purchase in the form of simply adorable drawings. you can also buy her book obsessive compulsion: what did you buy today.
